Sports flooring model Playwood S.14 is suitable for multifunctional halls. Parquet flooring is easy to install and minimizes disruption to sports activities when renovating existing gyms. This parquet system can be installed over existing synthetic flooring, avoiding complex and difficult removal and disposal operations. Parquet can simply be placed on top of a synthetic layer, even if the latter is seriously damaged due to degradation over time.
The choice of wood versus synthetic flooring is made based on its many characteristics that are fundamental to user safety, as well as ease of maintenance.
The parquet is created by laying Playwood S.14 panels on an agglomerate mat, which is capable of absorbing even the most severe impacts. At this stage, the finished sports surface is laid with a layer of noble wood, oak or beech.
Thanks to the void-free design, perfect sound insulation is ensured with noise reduction and a noticeable improvement in playing comfort.
The parquet system consists of a 12 mm thick engineered board base and a 15 mm thick elastic mat underneath.
Frame thickness: 27 mm
The playing surface of the sports floor is made of solid beech or oak with a thickness of 14 mm.
Total system thickness: 41 mm.
The boards (slabs/panels) are pre-finished and varnished on each side to prevent dimensional changes and guarantee the stability of the floor. The panels are coated with 6 layers of polyurethane UV varnish, providing a top dry coating film with a thickness of at least 45 microns and a surface roughness of 0.5 microns.
