Technical question: what should be the correct size of a football goal?
- According to UEFA standards, the size of a football goal should be 7.32 meters in length and 2.44 meters in height.
- Both racks must have the same width, height and cross-section (no more than 12 cm).
- The length of the crossbar between the posts should be equal to the width of the goal line.
- For mini-football, the standard for the size of football goals is slightly different - they have parameters of 3x2 meters.
All structural elements (posts and crossbars) are made of metal or wood in accordance with the current standards of the International Football Association. As a rule, the posts are painted white to be more visible against the background of the field.
Interesting fact: The goal area, or goalkeeper zone, is conventionally divided into two zones of nine squares - three rows of three squares on the right and left. It is by this symbol that the judges determine into which zone the ball was scored - for example, a goal in the “three” (in the lower corner), “nine” (in the upper corner) or “one” (in the very bottom of the net in the center).
